Today, Jason and I celebrate 13 years of marriage. I’m not sure the number means as much as the pure love and strength of our bond. A deployment can take a devastating toll on a marriage, or it can further strengthen an unbreakable bond.
Thinking back to our very first wedding anniversary, I had just returned from a six-month deployment. We had basically spent half of that first year apart. To celebrate our 13 years, I thought I’d bring up 13 things that Jason and I rely on to strengthen our love while apart:
