About
Sometimes you just need to share…
Raised on a farm in Ohio, I grew up learning how to milk goats. I accepted a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corp scholarship to Boston University as a method of escaping Ohio. After graduating with a degree, I started my career driving warships for the Navy.
Today my husband, Jason, and I have four children and live right back in Ohio (no goats this time). We have a tremendous life story and my hope is that by sharing, you might relate and find support in the struggles and hopes we share.
My Life (in less characters):
I love Jesus. To me being a Christian is living in humble love. I sure as heck don’t have it down to perfection, not even close, but my everyday prayer is that I come closer to living the example set by Him.
Life has taken me down unexpected paths. I’ve learned to follow them in faith.
Every one of our four children was born in a different state. We’ve lived all over this beautiful country and have savored the diversity.
When our son was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, it put an emphasis on health needs, but also brought intimate familiarity with miraculous hope.
After 17 years of military service, I think it is an honor to have the opportunity to serve in this capacity. The military brings together a beautiful tapestry of people from all walks of life willing to dedicate their lives in service.
**For the sanity of my children, I’ve given them pseudonyms throughout the blog.**
